My brother has started a page on FaceBook titled "If you grew up in Sunland/Tujunga, then you remember......". All kinds of people and memories are showing up in the comments. Some people definitely have family roots in S-T that go back a lot further than mine. We moved to the area in the summer of 1962. We only had one junior high school, Mt. Gleason and one high school, Verdugo Hills. It was the first time I actually stayed at one school for more than two years. In fact, I graduated from VHHS in 1967. But thinking of memories made me think about these pictures I had scanned awhile back from those days.
Those were the days of long formal dresses and long white gloves for formal dances. That handsome guy became my husband. Our first date was at a Sports Night Dance at VHHS in 1965 even though he went to Burbank High School. 42 years later, two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two darling grand-children, we are still together. Many, many memories.
